This week was focused on preparing for our second hands-on quiz (HOQ 2). We spent time practicing and getting ready for the actual assessment on Friday.
There was also a moment when Sir Peralta mentioned me, along with another classmate, as being “sakitin.” Honestly, after looking back at the previous weeks, I couldn't even argue with him.
Then, on July 21 and 22, I wasn't able to attend because I was at the hospital. This meant that I missed more of our preparation, which wasn't exactly ideal considering that HOQ 2 was coming up.
Even though I had missed some of the practice, I still had to do my best to catch up and prepare for Friday. It was becoming a little frustrating having to constantly catch up after missing classes, but I didn't want that to become an excuse for giving up.
Then came Friday... HOQ 2.
When HOQ 2 finally started, I was confused because I had missed much of the discussion. I prepared by looking over what I needed to code, but I also had to write a scoresheet, so my panic level went up quickly. On top of that, I was late, which meant I had less time. I ended up getting a 6. That definitely wasn't the result I wanted, so I knew I had to redeem myself in Take 2.

I was definitely disappointed with the result, but instead of letting that score get to me, I reminded myself that this wasn't the end. I still had another chance to improve, and I didn't want to make the same mistakes again. I knew I had to practice more, review what I missed, and most importantly, try not to panic when the actual coding started.
After all, getting a 6 doesn't mean I'm bad at coding... it just means number 6 decided to join number 8 in my collection of questionable scores. But hey, Take 2 was waiting for me, so I guess it was time to redeem myself before another number decided to haunt me. ✦
